Description:

Serves as an employee benefits consultant and resource for the client. Is the primary liaison between the client and the employee benefit vendors. Informs the client about legislative updates and ensures clients compliance with state and federal regulations. Works as part of the benefits team to ensure that a strong relationship is built and maintained with both the client and carrier. Eligibility notifications, which includes enrollments, terminations and COBRA. Billing, payment collections and reconciliation. Day to day assistance to client and employees which includes conflict and issue resolution, appeals and claims assistance. Coordinates employee communications to ensure the accuracy and consistency of all benefits materials including benefit plan documents, SPDs, benefit guides and all associated materials posted in employee communications and coordinates open enrollment meetings. Provides financial reporting. Updates client on current legislative changes and developments. Assists with the annual employee benefit renewal.

Requirement:

3+ years in employee benefits consulting. Licensed with the State of NY insurance Department in Life, Accident and Health is a benefit, but not a requirement. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Knowledge of insurance products, RFP preparation and day to day process. Strong knowledge in Health Care Reform and compliance. Collaborative and team oriented. Excellent customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
