Job Title : Property Claim Manager

   Description : Responsible for oversight and management of the Property Claims Unit. Supervise and lead a team of property adjusters and manage the workflow processing of claims by implementing techniques to improve productivity, workflow efficiencies and expense control. Communicate with insureds and agents and provide customer service to the high standards of the company. Build a team-oriented environment by establishing team and individual goals through empowerment. Coach and mentor the property staff. Provide training opportunities and educate the team members in the duties and responsibilities of best practices. Responsible for performance reviews and evaluation of the property staff. Perform quality reviews on claims in compliance with internal and external audit requirements. Analyze commercial coverage policies, conduct scene investigations and evaluate damages to determine validity of the exposure. Directly handle and oversee large/complex municipal structure claims. Oversee property vendor programs and utilize experts such as architects, engineers, contractors and forensic accountants to accurately assess the extent of the loss. Recommend reserves and settlements that are in excess of the defined authority limit. Negotiate claim settlements with insureds, contractors, and other parties in the claims process. Keep current on state/federal regulations and industry trends.
